Fred the Shed
So this is Fred, New Mexico kiln shed. This cozy little bit of love was built a month ago by sister Tracy, her boy friend and I. He's shy so I won't go into to much about his id, except to say he's quiet handsome and talented/ kitchen. I came out west, to New Mexico in November to visit. Family, friends and set up another studio. Fred is the journey baby
and I'm a happy mother. Little bit of love here. Sister welded the frame together in a snow storm / painted it our favorite color... yellow. Tracy gave me a welding lesson so that further enriched the project. My mother has been visiting from Minnesota. She helped by sorting out usable screws / a giant mass of fasteners and kept the wood stove going . A key joy to the project's end as the wet snow froze my toes. I've completed two groups of runny bunny figures here this winter. One went to Spitfire Girl in California. The others are available through Etsy.
This has been the best winter holiday I can remember. Surrounded by the warmth of family and friends,I could not have asked for a better tamale.. Big thanks to all the runny bunny collectors out there! and Lou Anne's big heart for sending me off with a full bag/ tamales.
